This session will identify various high-quality public safety employee physical and medical standards, including NFPA 1582. Also covered will be the ACOEM Law Enforcement Officer Guidance, specifically organ systems and functional areas. The physician will come away with an enhanced awareness of the processes involved in making a fitness-for-duty recommendation for a public safety worker with par- tial or complete amputation or prostheses, and will be able to better provide appropriate recommendations for conditions of employment to management.
