This session will offer guidance on writing a manuscript for publication and on interacting during the peer review and publication process. Perspectives of the writer, peer reviewer and journal editor will be offered. The presentation on writing the manuscript will present strategies toward writing a well developed manuscript which conveys new knowledge optimally. The reviewer presentation will address critical appraisal of manuscripts: examining the title, abstract, methods, results, statistical analysis, tables, figures and conclusions and the making of constructive judgments and suggestions to the author and the editor. The role of the editor as the gatekeeper and promoter of the journal will also be addressed.
